The rare and complex procedure was carried out at a leading hospital in Srinagar on a middle-aged patient who was diagnosed with a rare congenital condition known as Gastric Duplication Cyst — a situation where a person develops two stomach-like structures.According to hospital officials, the patient had been suffering from severe abdominal pain, bloating, and digestive issues for months before being diagnosed.
A specialized team of surgeons led by Dr. Rafiq simnani a senior gastrointestinal surgeon, performed the intricate operation which lasted several hours.
