Poonch, May 19 (Three young men were injured in a knife attack during a National Conference rally in Mendhar, Poonch district on Sunday.
Officials said the attack happened during a clash between two groups at the rally. One of the injured, Suhail Ahmad from Qasab Mendhar, is in serious condition.
The other two injured are Yasir Ahmad from Gultha Harni and Imran Ahmad, who fled from the hospital for unknown reasons.
All three were taken to a nearby hospital and then moved to GMC Rajouri for further treatment.
A police official confirmed that a case has been filed and an investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made yet, but the police are searching for the suspects.
People in Mendhar protested at the main chowk, demanding justice for the victims. (GNS)
