Srinagar, Aug 29 A tragic incident occurred in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday, when a 25-year-old youth lost his life after receiving an electric shock while playing volleyball at the D.K. Marg ground.
According to officials, the mishap took place after the volleyball struck a high-tension (HT) power line, which snapped and came in contact with the victim.
The deceased has been identified as Rizwan Irshad, son of Irshad Ahmad Wani, a resident of Lalpora D.K. Marg.
Rizwan suffered grievous injuries and was rushed to SDH D.H. Pora, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.Authorities have taken cognizance of the matter and initiated further investigations.— Reported by Junaid Bhat
