A 46-year-old man, Mukhtar Ahmad Najar, died after falling from a walnut tree while plucking walnuts in the Jaibal Lammer area of Kulgam district.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, with the victim sustaining critical injuries. He was shifted to a hospital for treatment but later succumbed to his injuries.
An investigation has been initiated by the authorities to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
